Karina Lapierre-Douglas

karinalapierredouglas.jpgI love the look of really old family photographs, and I’ve always thought they made for great inspiration when painting. Karina Lapierre-Douglas apparently agrees.  She does a great job maintaining the feel of old photographs while adding something unique to the images.  The wallpaper-patterned backgrounds are a nice touch too.

Lorne Wisebrod

lornewisebrod.jpgEver wondered what it would look like if the entire world became radioactive, yet remained functional?  My guess is something like this.  Looks good to me.

Peter Harris

peterharris.jpgPeter Harris has found a way to make highways, gas stations and parking lots incredibly appealing. This is definitely a case of art surpassing reality.  I mean, unless you really love long dull drives along the 401.  Anyone?

Kristin Calabrese

kristincalabrese.jpgOk, so the main page’s design may leave a little to be desired,  but when the paintings are as good as Kristin Calabrese’s, who cares?

Mara Korkola

marakorkola.jpgSmall canvas sizes never had a better advocate than Mara Korkola.  Her landscapes are amazing, but don’t take my word for it, check them out yourself here and here.

Esao Andrews

esaoandrews.jpg The paintings on Esao Andrews site are great, but there are many other weird and wonderful things happening there as well.  Be sure to look around awhile, it is definitely worth the time.  Personally, I recommend visiting the little girl on the swing.

Jen Corace

jencorace.jpgRemember those fairy tales you read as a kid?  The ones  that seemed simple enough on the surface, but when you looked deeper you realized there was a subtle darkness and melancholy to them?  And then you realized it was the darkness and melancholy that made you like them that much more?  That’s how I feel about Jen Corace’s work.

Todd Karam

toddkaram.jpgTodd Karam has a lot of great work on his painting and design website.  His fun and loose style is highly enjoyable.  So go ahead, enjoy.

Martin Wittfooth

martinwittfooth.jpg For several years now I’ve been enjoying the twisted universe that exists in Martin Wittfooth’s mind.  I consider myself lucky that he doesn’t keep this universe to himself, and instead allows it to spill out onto his canvas.

Martha Fleury

marthafleury.jpgMartha Fleury bases much of her work on old photographs, and the resulting images are incredible.  Â
