Sky Glabush has made suburban rental homes the subject of his latest series of paintings. His slush and snow-filled scenes devoid of figures feel a bit lonesome to me, and yet strangely comforting in their familiarity. I’m curious what mood they would conjure up in someone who has spent their life closer to the equator and outside of suburbia.

Beautiful paintings…a shame the website is so badly designed to make it rather obtuse in its experience….
It would be nice to see larger versions of these…I can only sense that his painting…quality is David Milne like….and a soft reality version…old faded Kodachrome sensibility…But all in all nice…
(Not trying to gripe…but as I do not have a site of my work…I think I am starting to realize the importance of a good easy to navigate site….I know I really like this Blog and love to see what other artists are doing…but sometimes…I just could not be bothered or just get irritated by the silliness and gimickery of many of the sites…but I guess we all want to stand out and be noticed…Just some work so so much better than others)…
Oh Dear, Please please …realize please that I am referring to the artist site experience….This PaintBlog….I check daily for my next fix of great art….
It is going to the artist site that often many of them…are just too difficult and unenjoyable…and this …really reflects on the artist for the moment….
In either case…Sky Glabush is and has done some nice stuff. Thanks.
Sorry for any confusion and glibness on my part.
