Can I admit something here? Frankly, I’m a little in awe right now of John Kelley. Not only does he make a living from his art, but he has managed to build (almost single-handedly) his own art studio, he maintains a blog to feature the incredible landscape and still life paintings he creates in that studio, and he does it all while having five children. I feel tired just thinking about it all.

Traditionally, I find warm sunny days inspire me to venture out into the city to look for new landscapes to paint, but Gregory Thielker has tossed that notion on its head. His rainy roadways have given me the chance to see the beauty of “bad weather” in a whole new light. I may just spend future sunny days over on his site enjoying the rain.
