Stefan Dunlop

Stefan Dunlop’s paintings are manic filled expressions of movement, except  when they are Hopperesque studies of absolute stillness.  Of course, there are other times when they appear to be studies of line and form and colour. With this much to look at, you can easily spend some time studying his site.

I know I’m a bit late in this post, as Jeremy Hof was announced the winner of the RBC Painting Competition on September 25th, but better late than never. I am going to reserve judgement on the results until I get a chance to see the winning and short-listed works in person. Many people in Canada will have a chance to do just that, as the final 15 works will be touring Canada from now until April 2009.
